Loosemore Advisory (ABN 42 028 630 911) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly. This policy explains how I collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you visit this website or engage my services.

By using this website or my services, you consent to the practices set out below.

1. Information I collect

I collect both personal information and non-personal information.

  • Personal information means details which identify you, such as your name, organisation, email address or telephone number, together with anything you write in a message to me.
  • Non-personal information means technical data recorded in the ordinary course of serving the site, such as IP address, browser, device type and the page requested.

This is collected when you contact me directly, when you submit the callback or contact form, when you subscribe to the mailing list, and when your browser requests a page.

2. Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies and carries no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Nothing is stored on your device by me and repeat visitors are not recognised. Disabling cookies in your browser will not affect how the site works.

The typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads and Google receives your IP address. Nothing else is sent, and that is the only third party contacted by the pages themselves.

3. How I use your information

I may use your information to:

  • respond to enquiries and communicate with you
  • provide and improve my services
  • send new essays by email, where you have subscribed
  • maintain internal records
  • meet my legal obligations

The essay list is used to send essays and for nothing else. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you may also ask me to remove you at any time.

4. Sharing your information

I do not sell, rent or trade personal information. I may share it in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. I use third-party providers to operate parts of the practice. They may access personal information only to perform their functions on my behalf.
  • Compliance with laws. I may disclose information where required to comply with applicable laws, legal processes or governmental requests.
  • Business transfers. In the event of a restructuring or transfer of the practice, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

5. International storage and service providers

I use external providers to host this website and support the practice. They may process or store information outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. Specifically:

  • Netlify (United States). Hosts this website, receives submissions from the callback and contact forms, and keeps ordinary server logs.
  • Resend (United States). Holds the essay mailing list and sends the emails.
  • Microsoft and Google. Used for email, document storage and collaboration. Information may be stored or processed in Australia or overseas, including the United States and Europe.

I select reputable providers which maintain strong privacy and security frameworks. Your information may nonetheless be subject to the laws of other jurisdictions.

6. Security

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information from unauthorised access, misuse or disclosure. No method of online transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. How long information is kept

Enquiries are kept while there is a reason to keep them, generally for as long as a professional relationship is on foot or reasonably in prospect, and are then deleted. Subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

8. Your rights

Consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, you may:

  • request access to the personal information I hold about you
  • ask for corrections where that information is inaccurate
  • request deletion of your personal information
  • opt out of receiving any communication from me

Requests may be made by contacting me directly, as set out at section 11. I will respond within a reasonable time and at no charge.

If you are not satisfied with how I have dealt with your personal information, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

9. Updates to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect when published on this page.

10. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Australia. By using this website or my services, you consent to your information being collected and processed in accordance with it, including where information is stored overseas.
